Ammunition is the shared vision of two guys who had a dream of making wine and after some not-so-careful consideration, they pooled some money together and made it happen. BLUE ROCK VINEYARD
Sonoma, CA
Dating back to 1880, the 100-acre Blue Rock estate tells the story of how European winemaking came to Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley. Italian immigrants brought with them olive trees, vine cuttings, and knowledge of grape growing. The region’s undulating golden hills and idyllic vistas even look reminiscent of Tuscany itself. Blue Rock Winery was first settled by Italians who worked at the Italian-Swiss Colony winery just down the road. The original stone house was once Villa Maria winery, which closed its doors during the Prohibition Era. Acquired by Kenny and Cheryl Kahn in 1987, the Estate maintains much of its old world character. It even maintains its original olive trees that are now over 140 years old.

JOLIESSE
Joliesse (Pronounced jo’-lee’-ES’) comes from the French word for grace and loveliness, which is what we seek to create with each vintage. Sunshine guides us in all that we do; it is at the center of everything. The natural beauty of the world and cosmic energy all radiate from the sun. As the sun and the stars light our skies, so too does our label – with rays of the sun and stars that glow in the dark. We have harnessed the power of the California sunshine with Joliesse – each bottle captures the loveliness, magnificence, grace and splendor of each harvest.

FIELD RECORDINGS
Paso Robles, CA
Field Recordings is winemaker Andrew Jones’ personal catalog of the people and places he values most. Spending his days as a vine nursery fieldman planning and planting vineyards for farmers all over California, Andrew is sometimes offered small lots of their best fruit on the side. Having stood in just about every vineyard on the Central Coast, he has a keen eye for diamonds in the rough: sites that are unknown or underappreciated but hold enormous untapped potential. As friendships are made and opportunities are embraced, Andrew produces small quantities of soulful wine from these unusual, quiet vineyards.

FORLORN HOPE WINES
Sierra Foothills, CA
All Forlorn Hope wines are produced from wine grapes. That's it. We believe very strongly that site and farming produce all that we should like to find in a bottle of wine, and we don't want to confuse or muddy the story that each wine can relate by adding water or yeast or acid or enzymes that had nothing at all to do with what the vines put into each of our clusters. Each of the Forlorn Hope wines may be put through very different fermentations en route to becoming one of our Rare Creatures

FRANK FAMILY
Napa Valley, CA
Thick stone walls mark a place in time. First constructed in 1884, and refinished with native sandstone from the nearby hills in 1906, the iconic Larkmead building is now considered an archetype of California’s wine country—appearing on the National Register of Historical Places and listed as a Point of Historical Interest in the state of California. Like its earlier days, the building is filled with high-stacked barrels and a rich bouquet of aging wines, creating an ambience of days past with the promise of future vintages. It's the third-oldest winery built in Napa Valley, and in many ways, still feels like it once was.

ILLAHE VINEYARDS
Willamette, OR
ILLAHE, pronounced Ill-Uh-Hee, is a local Chinook word meaning “earth” or “place” or “soil” At Illahe, our goal is to make wine as naturally as possible from soil to bottle. We work by hand on small lots with age-old techniques and materials. Our focus is to grow and make quality Pinot Noir and white wines that express the vintage and their varietal characteristics. We don't use enzymes or additives. Some of our wines are made entirely by hand, with no electricity or modern mechanization. We use a gentle wooden basket press and age our Pinot Noir in French and Oregon oak.

TOBIN JAMES CELLARS
Paso Robles, CA
It all started with an extra six tons of grapes that a winery could not accept and process. Tobin (Toby) James, a lowly assistant winemaker at the time, asked the owner of the winery if he could have the grapes and make wine out of them for himself. The owner replied, "sure kid, knock yourself out". A year and a half later, gold medals began pouring in for Toby's first Zinfandel, the 1985 "Blue Moon" Zin. After making his wines at another local winery for a few years and tasting and selling them out of a local wine shop in town, Toby finally took the plunge and built Tobin James Cellars in 1993.

TOLOSA
Edna Valley, CA
Tolosa sources much of its fruit from Edna Ranch which consists of six distinct sections, with 60 soil types and myriad microclimates encapsulating a remarkable spectrum of terroirs. Remnants of volcanic eruptions, fueled by clashing continental plates, share the landscape with calcium-rich sediments from tiny shells deposited on an ancient ocean floor and estuary. Degraded granite meets tufa precipitated in a vanished sea. Heavy clay fills the valley floor while sandstone and clay loam cover the hillsides. Limestone - the Holy Grail for Pinot Noir – blankets the slopes of a knoll. Combining these challenging, calcium-rich soil conditions and ancient seabed with the valley’s warm days and cool nights, you possess the ingredients for timeless and profound wines of diverse and distinctive character.

TONTI FAMILY WINES
Sonoma County, CA
My interest in wine making began in the 1940’s when I was just a kid, watching my father, an Italian immigrant, make wine with a hand cranked press. We turned out about a half-dozen barrels from our home’s basement. The fruit was grown on an arbor in our back yard in in Columbus Ohio. Our vineyard partnership affords us access to an extraordinary patch of land. The vineyard where our grapes are grown rest on the Eastern edge of the beautiful Russian River Valley Appellation, on gently rolling bench land above the valley floor.

TRENTADUE
Sonoma, CA
The Trentadue family arrived in Sonoma County long before the region gained a reputation as the Wine Country. Life-long, hands-on agriculturists, Evelyn and Leo Trentadue contributed significantly to the advancement of their region over the years. In 1959, the Trentadues decided to flee the developers encroaching on their apricot and cherry orchards in Sunnyvale, the area known today around the world as Silicon Valley. To preserve their way of life, these hard-working Italian ranchers purchased 208 acres of land in Sonoma County's then remote Alexander Valley.

WILSON CREEK WINERY
Temecula Valley, CA
With over 70 acres of vineyards, award winning wines are the product from the grapes we grow. We have an amazing team. Our winemaker, Gus Vizgirda, leads the winemaking and vineyard team to produce our award-winning wines. Our Vineyard Manager, Greg Pennyroyal, oversees the arduous task of pruning, cultivating, planting, harvesting, and nurturing the vineyards. Due to the diverse terrain, rich soil, and unique micro-climate in Temecula, the grapes produce wonderfully year after year. The warm summer days, and cool evenings are the perfect growing environment for both red and white varietals. Most notable is the hands on approach to farming the Wilson family has embraced, using man power to do most of the work.

WORLD’S END (BY JCP MALTUS)

Ask any wine lover to reel off a list of the world’s most famous wine regions, and rarely will they fail to mention Saint-Émilion or Napa Valley. Team JCP Maltus prides itself in making seriously fine wines on two continents with impressively contrasting styles. The terroirs of the estates Château Teyssier and World’s End are amongst the world’s most prestigious, but to truly tap the potential of the land requires a huge amount of respect, understanding and a special bond between man and nature.  It’s this cultural respect for terroir and the ‘French touch’ that Jonathan and his team have so carefully brought over to Napa Valley, revealing in the wines the wonderful diversity of this beautiful landscape.
